In order to further explore the application of artificial intelligence in biomedical and prepare the biophysical society of jiangsu province, on December 9, Preparatory Meeting of Jiangsu Biophysical Society and the second AI Bio Seminar has been held in Nanjing International Expo Center successfully, sponsored by the Nanjing University Institute of Artificial Intelligence Biomedicine.

The Seminar was hosted by Yan Chao, the executive director of Nanjing University Institute of Artificial Intelligence Biomedicine.Rao Zihe, academician of CAS, Chen Chanmei ,member of the Party Working Committee and vice director of the Administrative Committee of Jiangbei New Area, Zhang Chenyu，dean of SLS，Nanjing University，Yang Xiaoping ，the leader of Centre for Applied Mathematics of Nanjing University，and Zhou Jiahai , researcher of SIOC attended the seminar. More than 20 domestic and foreign well-known colleges and universities, biological medicine related units, more than 100 researchers to attend to discuss the application of artificial intelligence technology in biomedical research.

In the opening ceremony, Professor Yan Chao introduced that the Nanjing University Institute of Artificial Intelligence Biomedicine is based on the talent teams of School of Life and Science，Nanjing University, and committed to developing new methods and technologies for biomedical research and development based on the principles of artificial intelligence. The institute will use this seminar as a bridge to gather elites in the field of AI, promote joint construction and sharing through multi-party cooperation, integrate scientific and technological resources, and gather scientific and technological forces, so as to jointly promote the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the industrial upgrading in the era of biological big data.

Rao said that artificial intelligence and biomedicand are a typical interdisciplinary subject of biology, and he hoped that the new office building of Nanjing University Institute of Artificial Intelligence Biomedicine could be completed as soon as possible, and more and better projects could be developed to make greater contributions to the life and health industry in Jiangbei New Area.

Chen Chanmei, a member of the Party Working Committee and vice director of the management Committee of Jiangbei New Area in Nanjing, said in her speech that Jiangbei New Area will give full play to the superposition advantages of both state-level new area and free trade area, and accelerate the development of life and health industry with the construction of "gene city" as the core. Nanjing biological medicine valley as the core of construction in the city of "genetic" a valley, on the one hand, extends the industrial chain, focus on grasping the flagship, leading projects construction, drive development strategy, adhere to innovation, on the other hand, with the domestic and foreign universities and hospitals to carry out the depth cooperation, build a batch of new research and development institutions, seeding booster high-end scientific research in the new area.

Dean zhang said, biology, artificial intelligence is not only to use artificial intelligence in biological research, but the biology of version 3.0, it can change our overall understanding of life, thinking and research paradigm, hope can participating experts and scholars in the study area, many joint, jointly do biological artificial intelligence.
