On January 12, Nanjing University Institute of artificial intelligence biomedical research landed in Jiangbei New Area. Zhang Jinghua, member of the standing committee of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, and LV Jian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Nanjing University attended the signing ceremony.

Nanjing University Institute of artificial intelligence biomedical research located in the biomedical valley of Jiangbei New Area, is a government-affiliated institution jointly constructed by Nanjing University and Jiangbei New Area.

The research institute is committed to building the world's first artificial intelligence Biomedical Technology Research Institute, promoting the industrial application of artificial intelligence technology in biomedical field, leading the upgrading of biomedical R&D enterprises, and enhancing the industry competitiveness and global influence in the field of medical health in Nanjing and Jiangbei New Area.

Through five years of construction, the Institute will form a complete "artificial intelligence biomedical" discipline system, put forward original theories and technologies in three sub fields of structural biology, precision medicine and drug discovery, solve several major basic problems, transform outstanding scientific research achievements, and incubate enterprises based on artificial intelligence biomedical technology.
