On November 29 , Major research plan of NSFC Spatiotemporal network regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism 2020 Annual symposium has been held in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area successfully.The symposium was sponsored by the National Natural Science Fundation of China , jointly held by Nanjing University, Nanjing University Institute of Artificial Intelligence Biomedicine and Nanjing Carbon Silicon Institute of Artificial Intelligence Biomedicine.

Symposium opening ceremony was hosted by Feng Xuelian, the executive deputy director of National Natural Science Fundation of China.Li Peng ,the Dean of IMIB,Fudan University,the director of the Life science department of National Natural Science Fundation of China,Professor Song Baoliang,the dean of CLS,Wuhan University, the group leader of Major research plan of Spatiotemporal network regulation of glucose,and Cheng Heping,academician of IMM,Peking University attended the symposium.He Fuchu,the researcher of Academy of Military Medical Sciences, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the specially invited expert attended the symposium.More than 200 experts and professors from more than 80 institutions including The National Natural Science Foundation of China,colleges and universities, research institutes and hospitals gathered at the symposium to jointly discuss the progress of the major research plan of “Spatiotemporal network regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism”.

Chen Chanmei, member of the Party Working Committee and vice director of the Administrative Committee of Jiangbei New Area, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. She first welcomed all the experts and scholars and introduced the significance of the symposium as well as the vision of jiangbei New Area to promote the development of the biomedical industry in the future.

During the symposium, the experts and scholars presented and discussed their latest research results. From 29th to 30th, 35 top scientists in the field of glucose and lipid metabolism will be arranged to make academic reports and symposia on their research topics.

The symposium for discussion of the major research projects of NSFC has been spent many years and put into billions of research funding , main concern diabetesand, cardiovascular disease and obesity ,solution of these basic research are expected to rapidly into revolutionary innovative drugs and treatments for the disease.
